In times where the packaging, the number of different color pressings, the most limited circulation and the crapiest sound seems to be more important than the ability to write a great, simple and dead catchy tune, MARK & THE SPIES entered the studio again to prove all you self-appointed rock’n’roll experts wrong, with their awesome blend of pure crystalline 60’s pop and classic garage-beat. MARK & THE SPIES, those sixties beat hitmakers, hailing from a damned little village called Veenendaal in the Netherlands. They started out as a rock’n’roll trio, only having a few v ocal songs, but mostly instrumental Link Wray kinda stuff. After some gigs they broke up, reunited and broke up again. After that Mark (bass/vocals) and Arjan (guitar/vocals) started writing songs of their own. They found themselves a new drummer (Gerrit), a keyboard/saxophone player (Jelle) and things got finally pushed in the right direction. At the beginning of 2007 their first official release saw the light of day, a 7” EP on the Spanish label Butterfly Records and people all around the globe immediately started to rave about it. |

| Roy Young - The Best Of 50 Years 2CD One of rock'n' roll's greatest entertainers celebrating his half century as a professional musician has put together this 2 CD set of tracks spanning that entire period of rock 'n' roll, blues and soul described by one critic as "a mixture between Little Richard, Ray Charles and Joe Cocker". Roy auditioned back in 1959 for Jack Good and performed on the now legendary BBC TV Show "Oh Boy!" Other TV Shows followed and Roy found himself opening for The BEATLES in Hamburg and subsequently spent 4 years playing on the Reeperbahn. Brian Epstein asked Roy to return to London with The Beatles as he could arrange a recording contract for him-Roy declined as he was committed to his performances in Germany. After returning to the UK Roy joined CLIFF BENNETT & The REBEL ROUSERS and performed on their hits. He released solo albums "The Roy Young Band" in 1971 and "Mr Funky" in 1972 and tracks from those albums are included on this 2CD set. In 1977 DAVID BOWIE asked Roy to play keyboards on his album "Low" which they recorded in Paris. After many years of living in the USA Roy returned to UK in 2000 and returned to live performances including Beatles Festival in Berlin and Star Club, Hamburg 40th anniversary. | Steeples - Best Of The Steeples 2CD Steeples perustettiin koulupoikien toimesta Jyväskylässä 1964. Yhtye toimi kolmessa eri kokoonpanossa kolmen vuoden ajan. Steeples voitti Pop-yhtyeiden Suomen mestaruuden vuosina 1964-1965. Nostalgiabuumin avittamana yhtye kasasi rivinsä uudelleen 1996 ja on siitä lähtien viihdyttänyt ja ennen kaikkea tanssittanut yleisöä eri tilaisuuksissa. Syksyllä 2006 tuli kuluneeksi 10 vuotta yhtyeen uudelleensyntymisestä. Sen kunniaksi yhtye kokoontui studioon viikonvaihteeksi ja nauhalle tarttuikin seitsemän ”uutta” äänitystä. Yhtyeen kaksi aiempaa levyä (1996 ja 2002) olivat muuttuneet keräilyharvinaisuuksiksi, joten Steeples päätti julkaista Best of -kokoelman.
