| Niteshift Trio - You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet Raucous Records continues to bring you some of the best underground Rockabilly albums on the 1980s. This gem was one of the early vinyl releases of the Fury Records label. Previously Fury has issued a string of Rockabilly compilation LPs featuring many of the best upcoming scene bands, and the band that continually got the best feedback was The Niteshift Trio. Those hard-to-find compilation tracks have been added to this release as bonus cuts. "You Ain't Seen Nuthin' Yet" further established The Niteshift Trio as Rockabilly scene favourites, and sold very well for the Fury label. Here it is on CD for the first time, complete with bonus selections. |

| Nitros - Nightshades / Stompin' Beat This release is made up of two separate albums, both of which have never been out on CD and both of which are long since out of print and hard to find. The Nitros featured Gary Day on bass. Gary went on to become bass player for Morrissey in the early 90’s and was still doing so until very recently. The Nitros always had the reputation of being great musicians and songwriters and their songs still sound great today. This CD should be of interest to Psychobilly/Neo Rockabilly collectors, old fans looking to replace that long lost vinyl, and newer fans who missed this great band the first time around. |

| Peacocks - Don't Ask The first THE PEACOCKS show took place back in 1990. The band was Hasu on guitar, Adi on drums and Michi on double bass. The music was very rockabilly orientated poppy psychobilly with lots of cover songs. After playing a few birthday parties THE PEACOCKS broke up because Michi left the band, but one year later THE PEACOCKS restarted again as a three piece completed by Simon, Hasu's brother, who learned the double bass. This constellation lasted out for five years while they recorded three seven inches on their own, that have been sold out now for ages. Afterwards it was time for THE PEACOCKS to record their first regular album called "Come With Us" in 1995. Right before the first US/Canada tour, Adi decided to leave the band. The tour only could happen because the third Langhardt brother David knew all THE PEACOCKS songs so far, and jumped in as drummer. The tour was quite successful and a new drummer called Toni joined the band after they returned to Switzerland. Around 1997 THE PEACOCKS started to tour almost everywhere in the world, including Japan, the U.S., Canada and every European country. THE PEACOCKS recorded two more albums "In without knocking"(1998) and "Angel"(2001). Both records did alright and with "Angel", the band signed to Asian Man Records. Early in 2002 Toni had to leave the band because he couldn't tour anymore. With 3 kids he decided it's better to have a proper job. It took quite a long time for THE PEACOCKS to find a new drummer, but at the end of 2002 Jürg joined THE PEACOCKS and the band started again rockin'. In 2004 THE PEACOCKS released "It’s time for...The Peacocks" on five different record labels in five different countries and also three different continents. THE PEACOCKS toured again in almost every country in Europe, heading also successfully back to Canada and Japan. In 2006 Hairball 8 records did a best-of release for the U.S. market, followed by huge tour through 14 states. The band decided to stay in the US after the tour to record a new album at Sonic Iguana in Lafayette Indiana. Next important step in the bands history was the signing to “PEOPLE LIKE YOU RECORDS” in 2007, they released their label debut “Touch And Go” right away followed by a lot of touring through Europe in their old van. The “Touch And Go” sessions left a lot of material which was decided to put out as a ten inch called “The Best Of The Rest And The Left Overs” in 2008. Two years were needed, filled with a lot of amazing shows in the whole world, after THE PEACOCKS decided to head back in the studio to record a brand new record. After a couple of months “After All” was finished, it was released in March 2010 on PEOPLE LIKE YOU RECORDS. In September 2010 “After All” will hit the U.S. stores in cooperation again with PEOPLE LIKE YOU RECORDS THE PEACOCKS are now around for nearly 20 years. And they will stay forever. They’re cool and they look smart. But the most important thing is that they love what they do and are still hungry to play live! She's different. She's a woman playing rockabilly in a world dominated by men. 100 per cent rockabilly! Peggy who?! The female vocalist, daughter of Czech/Lithuanian parents, grew up in Cologne. For the sheer fun of singing she worked with amateur combos in her younger days, performing i.e. Andrew Sister songs. Then HE walked into the frame, Elvis! Movies, music, clothing, presence – Peggy got seriously infected. Because of material security, she became a foreign language secretary. But the music never let her go. Working in a Presley cover band didn't change her mind – the young lady wanted to stand on her own feet! She wanted to sing rockabilly like only a few women did in the past: Wanda Jackson, Charline Arthur, Sister Rosetta (Tharpe), who also had not been afraid of taking possession of songs by legendary colleagues. The time was ripe for Peggy Sugarhill! The Backbeat musicians appeared on the scene. They had successfully supported popular German vocalist, Sascha with his new chart hitting concept. Already her first live shows in bars, on village fairs and similar events produced a lot of feedback, upward trend. Producers who were interested in working with her, left her alone when they learned about her pregnancy. What next? What to do? There's nothing like doing it yourself: Peggy and her band put together a CD under their own direction, recorded 'live' at Hanno Kahl's Bex Studio in Cologne. And when Bear Family Records, always open for newcomers, heard about the project, it was thumbs up! from them, too! It was done! Genre classics like Arthur Crudup's That's Alright Mama, Brian Setzer's Swithcblade 327 (Stray Cats), Jackie DeShannon's Breakaway, and Titus Turner's Sticks And Stones – Peggy Sugarhill knows how to handle this. In a cool manner she is adding convincing, explosive original songs to her debut (Rockabilly Music Is Bad Bad Bad, Gisele, Eldorado Lost), without ever lowering the high level of quality. Ladies first: contemporary rockabilly has a new name – Peggy Sugarhill. |
